I’m looking for illustrators for an ILLUSTRATION PROJECT and I need your help!
My goal is to create a magazine for my bachelor thesis about the own drawing style. The reader should receive an impression of different drawing styles and views on the subject based on a lot of self-portraits of various illustrators. National and international artist can join in.
Many well-known illustrators already take part in this project!
I’m grateful for every reblog to make this project big and successful!
All you’ve to do to take part in:
It‘s simple: Just draw a selfportrait. Feel free to draw yourself as you want to. It‘s important that the own drawing style is clearly recognizable, so the reader can compare the different illustrations easily.
You also have to describe „style“ in 1-3 sentences. What does style mean to you? How do you defind style in relation to the own drawing style? NOT YOUR OWN DRAWING STYLE!
"Stil entwickelt sich von selbst. Er ist einfach die Art uns Auszudrücken und das entwickelt sich schlicht durchs machen. Das was uns gut von der Hand geht und uns gefällt ist unser Stil." - Felix Scheinberger
"Style is who you are, from how you dress to how you see the world. Everyone’s is different, it’s what defines you and lets you be the individual you are." - Caroline Boyk
1st December 2014
All criteria you’ve to note can be found at the link below!
After my exam and presentation I will plan a Kickstarter Project to publish the book. Thus all have a chance to buy a copy.
Hi everyone! i’m participating in this project and if you’re an artist, you should too!! If you can’t, definitely spread the word and help Karoline out! (:
(also applicable to getting coloured sketch lines off of a scanned image, and making scanned lineart transparent)
in the last few days i’ve seen like three people with this problem?? and it is such an easy mistake to make and annoying to correct if you don’t know the trick so here is a post starring this frog i found on youtube today about how to get rid of it fast + easy
IF YOU ARE STREAMING, DON’T USE PROCASTER.
DON’T. USE. PROCASTER.
Livestream procaster consumes large amounts of cpu for nothing. No joke, nothing. As a result your stream can become laggy and sometimes it can damage your hardware as your PC has to push itself to keep what your streaming functioning as well as possible.
"But if we can’t use procaster what can we use insteaaaaad?"
Simple. There’s two programs, both that are free, that you can use that uses very little CPU and has more options than procaster. These programs are called Xsplit and OBS. To keep your head in one piece, I’m going to go over how to stream on Livestream with Xsplit.
Under the cut of course.
can you chat on it?

Because everyone loves free things, here’s another quick resources post. There are another handful of sites out there but these are the ones I check out most often.
My favourite is the weekly offers from Creative Market. Sometimes you come across goodies you wouldn’t have otherwise downloaded. But act quick because they change/rotate every 7 days! A few people asked about subtle seamless backgrounds, and Pixeden has some of my favourites. Freebiesbug is actually more of a collective site (to make browsing easier) but has the occasional exclusives. And I’m sure every theme maker has already heard of Codrops but they deserve a huge mention.
Here’s a little video promo of the show I storyboarded on. Its a stop motion show, so those are all real sets and puppets, and its amazingly beautiful!
It will be released on Amazon Prime on May 23. Check out the write up about it in Variety. If you have young kids (or you love insanely cute things) please download it, and leave a review about it on the amazon site.
